Challenge
Transparent and easy access to information is one of the cornerstones of public administration in Finland.
Our client, a government agency, wanted to develop a web service aimed at consolidating and sharing their research and statistical materials, alongside blogs, analyses, and other selected data.
Solution
To effectively address this multifaceted challenge, we jointly tendered for the project with our close, complementary partners.
Asteroid’s contributions included development roadmapping, application architecture design, feature development, and supporting the client in adopting modern best practices such as test automation.
Our role was primarily focused on front-end development, using technologies such as React, and integrating it with the Liferay DXP. Additionally, we contributed to backend integrations involving ElasticSearch and deployment workflows leveraging OpenShift.
Results
Our client now benefits from an advanced research and statistical data search platform that takes advantage of modern front-end technologies in a private cloud environment.
The enhanced search service empowers users with a modern, intuitive experience – making it easier than ever to access the right information quickly and efficiently.
