Challenge
Transparent and easy access to information is one of the cornerstones of public administration in Finland.
Our client, a government agency, wanted to develop a web service that consolidates and shares their research and statistical materials, alongside blogs, analyses, and other selected data.
They needed a partner who was experienced in working with government agencies and understood what it takes to build reliable, user-friendly digital services that make public information easy to find and access.
Solution
Along with our partners, Asteroid developed the service with a focus on usability and reliability, contributing to development roadmapping, application architecture design, feature development, and modern development practices such as test automation.
Our role was primarily focused on front-end development, using technologies such as React and integrating them with Liferay DXP. We also contributed to backend integrations involving Elasticsearch and deployment workflows leveraging OpenShift.
Results
Our client now benefits from an advanced search platform for research and statistical data, built on modern front-end technologies in a private cloud environment.
The enhanced search service empowers users with a modern, intuitive experience, making it easier than ever to access the right information quickly and efficiently.
